The 12.7 cm/40 Type 89 naval gun was a Japanese anti-aircraft (AA) gun introduced before World War II. It was the Imperial Japanese Navy's standard heavy AA gun during the war. There are two different turrets with twin mounts one of which is more armoured. The more armoured version is on the battleships like IJN Yamato, IJN Kii. The regular version is on aircraft carriers. The US equivalent is the 127 mm Mark 12 Dual Purpose gun.
Heavy AA gun on Air Raid Alert Kure and other maps. The barrels can be fired independently. The barrels are 10 calibres longer than the Type 89 of the same calibre that is used on ships.
