The "French 75" on a more modern carriage. Known in FHSW as the 75 mm M2A1 Howitzer despite being a field gun like the Type 38 75 mm Field Gun. It is an lighter artillery piece to the 105 mm howitzer M2A1, hence it was used by airborne, mountain troops and US marines. 75 mm explosive rounds can be fired quicker but heavier artillery do more damage, in a greater area and they can damage through barriers. This gun was also used as an Anti-Tank gun, the M3 GMC the first American tank destroyer had this gun installed on a M3 Half-track. This tank destroyers was used throughout the war in the Pacific and can bee seen in Guadalcanal, Battle of Edson's Ridge and other Pacific maps. It was also used in North Africa and into the Italian campaign where it was being used less and less. It is used in Salerno as the American light artillery counterpart to the 7.5 cm IG 37.
It may be towed by the M3 Half-track to deploy it wherever needed.
