The Alpine line or the little Maginot line defended the southeast of France bordering Italy. It was quite succesful since the Italian invasion could be held back but it didn't deter the Italian invasion which brought Italy to definitively side with Germany.
The Italians begin with their uncapturable base and have to capture all other bases which are held by the French from the start. Both sides have their own armoured vehicles.
