One of the problems of the Panzerfaust was its demolition capability against tanks. When the warhead penetrated the tank's armor, its crew were injured, but a tank that is only damaged slightly without blowing its ammo rack, could be used again. To make it explode, the Panzerbrandgranate was made.
The new warhead contained a shaped charge and incendiary shell. The incendiary shell was intended to punch through the armor which initiated the shaped charge and ignited the ammo rack. This warhead was adopted as the Brandfaust and it was an improved version of the Panzerfaust 100.
Another similar weapon is the Flammfaust. The only difference is that the Flammfaust is not designed for destroying tanks. The iron sights have holes for 30, 60, and 100 m.
