Unfortunately, it is unknown on which real model Defgun is based on. In the game files there are three versions, the two common/generic versions of which one fires low velocity shells which are marked as green in the ammo icon. The German version has it's unique ballistics aswell.
In FHSW, the Defgun is highly efficient against both armored targets and infantry. Against the latter, it is used rarely because the turret can not fully rotate and the Defgun is usually placed near the beach. Here it is very well suited to disrupt landing attempts of the enemy. It can't stand much in a direct duel with ships - against enemy fighter-bombers one is even completely helpless. If the shell in the ammo icon is green it fires low velocity shells.
