Desert Hill is a essentially a tank battle between the late war tanks in a sandbox scenario. The center point is the ridge where parts of the Ratte tank and some fortifications have been erected. Axis forces are mostly German, but also the most powerful Hungarian tanks are present. The allies are nominally British but there are also American and French tanks. As the Axis force take control of the map, the allies will be reinforced with Soviet tanks from the south.

This map has been revised several times and in version 0.7 it was made into a fight against German and Hungarian forces on one side and the combined allied powers on the other. Before that it was a fight between British and French against Soviets also in a fictional 1946 setting.

When Desert Hill was turned from 1942 battle to one in 1946 in FHSW 0.61 the original was kept in the FHSW EU map pack. The British begin with holding the ridge.
