The expack works just as it did in the original game, but is less common since it is only available by taking a pickup kit including it. It is available to most nations in the game. Kits with it are mostly "special forces" with foliage on their headgear and a submachine gun, most often suppressed. Although other suppressed weapons such as rifles can be found with an Expack in the kit.
As other big pieces of explosives it has many usages, destroying gun emplacements, vehicles, certain objectives that are meant to be destroyed and anything else that can be damaged. Like the Type 99 Turtle Mine you can similarly chose how much explosives you want drop. Though it can be a hassle since the demo charges do not stick to vehicles like a Sticky Bomb, No.74 Sticky Bomb or Hafthohlladung. That user has to detonate it on their own by switching to the detonator instead of waiting for a fuse.
Sometimes the user may have six units of TNT, double the usual amount. An example of this are US special forces kits on their airfield nearby Alpenfestung.
