On D-Day the allied forces were tasked with taking different beaches or zones in Normandy. As the Americans were to take Utah Beach and Omaha Beach and the Canadians Juno Beach it was up to the British to take the Sword and Gold beaches. Compared to Omaha Charlie Sector there are many more armoured vehicles and the terrain is more open. The battle begins with the British in control of the beach and they even have their Panjandrum at their disposal. The Germans have fortified the area with 15 cm Torpedobootskanone C/36 and the huge 40.6 cm Schnelladekanone in their respective bunkers on the map.
