The HMS Ark Royal was a British aircraft carrier. It was instrumental in sinking the Bismarck with the Fairey Swordfish planes it carried during the German Operation Rheinuebung. Later it served in the mediterranean escorting convoys, a mission where it would ultimately sink in late 1941. As it is the only British purpose built aircraft carrier in FHSW it's still in Desert Rose set in 1942. While there is Fairey Swordfish on deck in almost every case the model of fighter aircraft is different depending on the year. The earliest battles like Rheinuebung feature the Gloster Gladiator which in later battles is then replaced by the Martlet Mk.I. For FHT Operation Dracula in 1945 it carries Grumman F8F "Bearcat" aircraft. The payload of the Fairey Swordfish varies, bombs, depth charges, torpedoes, or rockets or both of the latter.
