Junyo was a Japanese light aircraft carrier. Junyo like its sister ship Hiyo was originally meant to be passenger liner, but Imperial Japanese bought the ship under construction to make it an aircraft carrier. Since it was a intended as an ocean liner at first the amount of armour that it could have was limited. The ship was completed in May 1942 and survived the war. It was first used in the Aleutian Islands campaign. Junyo is also present in Operation A in FHSW. While it was classed as a light- or auxilliary aircraft carrier it is much larger than the other Japanese light aircraft carriers IJN Ryujo and IJN Zuiho.
