The IJN Niyodo was the second cruiser of the Ōyodo-class light cruisers. This ship was designed originally as a cruiser, but appears in FHSW as a cruiser/aircraft carrier hybrid. It contains the front gun turrets with six 15.5cm/60 3rd Year Type guns in total, and an aircraft carrier deck in place of the cruiser superstructure. For air defense, it is equipped with eight 10cm Type 98 guns and thirty 25mm Type 96 AA guns. It was cancelled on 6 November 1941 by the Imperial Japanese Navy as they turned all shipbuilding resources towards building aircraft carriers.
