The Ryujo or Ryujyo was a light aircraft carrier. It was built in the 1930s and was designed to be light to circumenvent the Washington Naval Treaty which limited the construction of large ships like Aircraft carriers or Battlecruisers, according to the treaty ships under 10 000 tonnes were not restricted. This loop hole was closed in the following London Naval Treaty so Ryujo was the only ship of the type that could be built. The design choices that had been made to keep it light made it unstable, so it was refitted from 1934 to 1936 which reduced the anti-aircraft armament and made the ship less top-heavy. The final arangement was four twin 127 mm turrets in the front, two twin 25 mm Type 96 gun mounts in the middle section and six rows with twin 13 mm Type 93 gun mounts. Another issue was that of the two elevators for aircraft the rear one was too small for most modern bomber aircraft, only the Nakajima B5N2 "Kate" could fit on it. the In the Pacific war Ryujo first supported the invasion of the Philippines and pushed on to Singapore and into the Dutch East Indies. In the second battle of the Java Sea aircraft from Ryujo spotted and bombed HMS Encounter and USS Pope, the two destroyers escorting HMS Exeter which was all that remained of the allied fleet from the first battle of the Java Sea. Ryujo continued to cover the invasion force heading to Java. Ryujo would then later join IJN Junyo as 2nd Carrier Strike Force for the Aleutian Islands Campaign. In response to the American landings at Guadalcanal and Tulagi Island Ryujo departed to join IJN Zuikaku and IJN Shōkaku, in the ensuing battle of the Eastern Solomons Ryujo was sunk by airstrike from USS Saratoga (CV-3).

The ship was made by Ouka which was then tweaked by FHSWman.
