The Carro Veloce CV-33 or L3/33 was a tankette originally built in 1933 and used by the Italian Army before and during World War II. It was based on the imported British Carden Loyd tankette (also license-built by Italy as the CV-29). Many CV-33s were retrofitted to meet the specifications of the CV-35 in 1935. In 1938, the CV-33 was renamed the "L3/33" while the CV-35s became known as "L3/35s."
The original CV-33 carried a two-man crew protected by 12 mm of welded armour and was armed with a single 6.5 mm machine gun.
Artillery tractor Footage exists of an unarmed, open-topped, artillery tractor based on the L3. This could be used to tow a tracked trailer, as could the L3, as well as light artillery pieces, including a 100mm mountain howitzer. This vehicle does not appear to have entered production.
The L3/33 saw action in China, Spain, France, the Balkans, North Africa, Italian East Africa, Italy, and Russia.
Since the twin machineguns of the tankette ingame are individually controlled, you can fire off one at time then switch to the other gun and then back as they reload to fire a continuous stream of bullets. This is more useful against infantry since a single machine gun deals enough damage. Reserving the use of both at once against light vehicles or at a farther distance to increase the likelihood of hitting the target.
The model was made by Ichinose. He made two different paint schemes for the standard version and the anti-tank variant. The sand colour paint scheme curiously has markings of the GNR, known as the National Republican Guard in English which was a military police or gendarmerie of the Italian Social Republic established in December 1943. Despite this, it is seen in Tobruk and other battles in North Africa. The other paint scheme is for the european mainland and is green with patches of yellow and brown. The vehicle marked with a dotted line circle with the number 1 in it which was an early war type of tank marking.

Development of the "L3 Lf" (Lancia fiamme, "flamethrower") flame tank, based on the L3 tankette, began in 1935. The flamethrower nozzle replaced one of the machine guns, and the flame fuel was carried in an armoured trailer towed by the vehicle. The model in the game is the later version that had the fuel in a box-shaped tank mounted above the engine compartment. The vehicle weighed 3.2 tons, and the armoured trailer carried 500 litres (110 gallons) of fuel. It had a range of 40 yards, though other sources report a 100 meters (330 feet) range.
The L3 Lf was one of the first flame tanks and saw action in the Second Italo–Abyssinian War, Spanish civil war, France, Russia, the Balkans, Italian North Africa and Italian East Africa.
The Flame tank variant is easily recognized by the large cylinder tank on the back of the vehicle and unique camouflage of red and green spots.
The Flame tank has a similarly performing flamethrower as other flame tanks. While this one is the smallest and therefore better for setting and ambush, especially getting there in the first place since the low profile and good speed make the tank nimble and agile. The machine gun can engage infantry further than the flametrower if need be.

The L3 cc (contra carro, "anti vehicle") features a fully automatic anti tank rifle installed in order to destroy vehicles. Difference to the Solothurn S-18/1100 found as firearm for the infantry is that it only has armour-piercing ammo.
GNR stands for Guardia Nazionale Repubblicana a force that fought for the Italian Social Republic, a German puppet state.

Note, this is a custom map vehicle found on the maps Konstantinovsk and Nikolayevka.
The L3/33 were offered and sold to a number of countries in the 1930's, including Hungary. The Hungarian army had 20 tanks as early as 1934, and had at most over a hundred of them. In 1935 tanks were converted to use Hungarian machineguns. The tanks were used effectively in the Slovak-Hungarian War of 1939 and then again against Yugoslavia in 1941 but their obsolesence was increasingly clear as Hungary fought against the Soviet Union with the Germans. They were withdrawn from the frontline in 1942 and were then used by police units. Some vehicles were then sold to Croatia and were used to fight partisans in Yugoslavia. The Hungarian L3/33 is slightly better than the original Italian configuration. The machine guns have a higher rate of fire and magazine capacity but is still not able to penetrate armour.
