After the Panzerfaust 30, a new Panzerfaust was introduced into the war. The Panzerfaust 60 is an improved version of the 30. It had a much more practical range of 60 m and a muzzle velocity of only 45 m/sec (15 seconds more than the 30). This means it would take 1.3 seconds to reach a tank at a distance of 60 m! This better muzzle velocity was attained because of the newly designed tube with a diameter of 5 cm and the 134 g of propellant used. It also had an improved flip-up rear sight and trigger mechanism. The weapon now weighed 6.1 kg. It could defeat 200 mm of armor. This version was the most produced Panzerfaust during the war, with more than 4,500,000 produced! The iron sight has holes for 30, 60, and 80 m.
