Compared to the TOG-2, the TOG-3 doubles down on it's role. Extra armour has been applied which improves its capability in assaulting enemy positions and especially tackling armoured vehicles or heavy gun emplacements.
Note the bolted on armour.

The mounting of the "Mahot recoilless" was planned but how it would have been isn't known, the fhsw model is based on the Churchill "Ardeer Aggie" design.
The TOG tanks are unique in having a recoilless gun inside the turret, since the exhaust is hindrance to this which leads most designs to mount these type of weapon on the sides or on top of a turret or superstructure. This is also an issue in how limited the maximum elevation of the gun is. Pzkpfw IV mit 7,5 cm Ruckstossfrei Kanone 43 & 3cm MK 103 is the only other armoured vehicle with a recoilless gun.
HESH rounds are also available for the british RCL 3.45in Mk 1. As that round had a maximum penetration of 180mm this even larger recoilless gun must have performance to go toe to toe many heavy tanks.
