Historical Picture

The Type 94 TK (九四式軽装甲車 , Kyūyon-shiki keisōkōsha), is a Japanse tankette using during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Second World War. The development of Type 94 Tankette had its origins in the 1920s when Japan bought six British Carden-Lloyd Mark VI tankettes. After tests on these vehicles, it was decided to design a new vehicle for the army, which was looking for a vehicle to escort armored trailers with ammunition to the front line. This vehicle would be equipped with a single 6.5mm Type 91 machine gun, in some cases this weapon was replaced with the 7.7mm Type 97 Tank machine gun and even the 37 mm Type 94 gun, the only armament of the Type 97 Light Armoured Car that replaced this vehicle. The gun barrel on the game model looks like Type 97 Tank machine gun with the jacket guard but the weapon is technically the Type 91 according to the ammo icon and 45 round magazine capacity. While it can not penetrate armour with its machine gun it can support infantry by resupplying ammunition like an APC or truck with ammo would.
