USS Lang was a Benham-class destroyer named after the sailor John Lang of the US navy. John Lang served in the US Navy in early 19th century is known for his examplary actions during the boarding of HMS Frolic in the war of 1812.
USS Lang has an upgraded anti-aircraft armament with both Bofors and Oerlikon guns in two twin mounts at each side.
