The V-1 was the first of the vergeltungwaffe, the vengeance weapons developed by Germany that were used from mid-1944 onwards. It plays a minor cinematic role in FHSW, as a prop on maps such as Alaska and the Fall of Berlin, where it is also seen flying over the map with it's characteristic buzzing sound.
V-1 flying over Berlin, it appears when certain control points have been captured, such as the first flag, but has no effect on the battle.
- The V-1 was captured by the Americans and the design was copied as early as 1944. The JB-2/KGW Loon was planned to be used in the Pacific. But ultimately became just stepping stone for further development of missile systems. Never seeing combat action.
While not adopted into any server map list as of yet there is a map featuring both the V-1 and V-2 rockets. Called "Operation Super Hedgehog", a conversion of Bombing the Reich 1945 into fictious morning battle between Germany and the USSR featuring aforementioned weapons and other miracle and super weapons. Both V-Type weapons work as radio controlled weapons the player views from the rocket and can detonate it either by crashing into something or by exiting, as it then will self-destruct.
V-1 Katyusha[]
While not a original FHSW creation. As it was part of the map Giza even for standard Battlefield 1942, used by both the British and the Germans. It is an hypothetical vehicle with no historical basis. It can launch one V-1 at a time and has a spare ammo capacity of five of them, the explosive power is comparable to the rockets of the Sturmtiger.
