The Walther P38 is a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol that was adopted as the service pistol of the Wehrmacht at the beginning of World War II. It was intended to replace the costly Luger P08, the production of which was scheduled to end in 1942. The Walther P38 is a prominent pistol and its design has been influencial. It has been used by multiple armed forces and police organizations. It continued to be produced from 1957 to the year 2000 under the name Walther P1 the only difference was that the frame was of aluminium instead of steel.

Walther P38 with silencer[]
The suppressed version can be found in various pick up kits. Often with a suppressed MP 40. It is the only suppressed sidearm. It has the resemblence of the post war Walther P38K (Kurz/short). Since it is the only P38 with a shortened barrel and where the front sight is moved from the tip of the barrel unto the front of the slide. The Walther P38K was produced for the German KSK special forces unit from 1974 to 1981, anachronistic for the game.
